Following your heart in a world of conformities is inarguably an audacious act. That is exactly what Mrinalini Chandra is doing and making it large!
The immensely talented and humble Mrinalini is a seasoned jewellery designer at a young age. She carries a recognizably profound prowess for jewelry designing which can be distinctly seen through her splendid gamut of work. She is not necessarily in confluence with the conventions and the idea of what’s ‘in’ in the jewelry world. She would rather choose to travel on the ‘other’ road and make for an awe-striking show.
From what started out as a great idea of giving the traditional Punjabi Kaleeras a unique and fresh perspective, she barely saw all the fame coming her way. She caught inspiration from simple chairs that are present everywhere but are somewhat underrated. Incorporated the various forms of chairs into her designs and turned them into completely heart pleasing, playful in their appeal yet intricately done jewelry.
The extravaganza of her debut collection called PLEASE HAVE A SEAT showcased in Lakme Fashion Week 2014 took the fashion fraternity by awe. It was a hit and marks a humongous breakthrough in her journey.
